Located between Grand Rapids and Walker, MN, in the heart of the Chippewa National Forest, on the river leading into Squaw Lake, sits River Haven Lodge. The Lodge can sleep a total of 28 people comfortably, in a very picturesque setting, with "up north" decorating and new furnishings.

  • Minimum two night rental except for some holiday/special event weekends (three or four).

  • Cable TV, phone and high speed Internet access will be available.

  • Pontoon and fishing boat rental is available.

  • Wintertime ice fishing house rental is avialable.

  • Extensive snowmobile trail network, one can snowmobile from Squaw Lake to International Falls, Duluth or even Walker and points south.

  • There is an annual candlelit ski event at CutFoot Sioux ranger station.

Price, Terms & Payment:
Rates

  • Main Lodge (River Haven Lodge) is $180/night for up to 9 people. There is a $20 per person/per night fee for over 9 people up to a maximum of 16 people.
  • Bear Den and Duck's Nest are available each for $120/night for up to 4 people and $20 per person/per night extra for over 4 people up to a maximum of 6 people.
  • The entire lodge, which would include all units and sleeping for up to 28 people can be rented at a slightly reduced rate.

Tax and Fees

  • State sales tax: 6.5%
  • Credit card surcharge: 3.5%

Deposit

  • Deposit: $500
  • Due at time of reservation.
  • Refundable in full upon completion of stay if there is no damage.
  • Refundable if cancelled 3 weeks or more in advance of stay.
  • Refundable, less $150 if canceled less than 3 weeks prior to stay.
